Women to Women Ministries is designed to help each woman at Park Avenue UMC become all that God created her to be. Prayer and ongoing Biblical instruction are the core of our ministry, taking us more deeply into understanding God’s Word and His purpose for our lives. We will also strive to find answers to help us in our relationships at home and the world. Together we will learn and grow by sharing experiences with each other and by studying the scriptures. Our goal is for Park Avenue women to find their identity in Christ and with that, wholeness and holiness.

Morning Blend

We are a blend of single and married women, mothers and grandmothers, meeting together for a beautiful blend of fellowship, prayer and study.
We are currently studying the book What’s So Amazing About Grace? by Philip Yancey. Over the past several years our studies have included a number of DVD series by Beth Moore (including Breaking Free, Daniel, and Esther) and a few shorter studies based on books by Christian authors (Boundaries and Every Woman in the Bible). We are a group that enjoys digging into tough topics and meaty studies, while also building relationships with each other and building a community of care and support for our members.
As each of our studies draws to a close, group members decide together what to study next, based on the needs and interests of the group. We work together to make the study productive, each of us bringing discussion, thoughts, and ideas to the table. Most studies are not led by any particular person, though we have a group facilitator to keep us on track.

Women to Women Book Discussion – A study of The Word, The Name, The Blood. Joyce Meyer examines the scriptural principles that govern our authority as believers. In this book she uncovers the keys of building a strong foundation in the Word of God, correctly using the authority of the name of Jesus, and understanding the power we have through the blood of Jesus.

Women to Women Bible Study - No Other Gods by Kelly Minter No Other Gods offers a revealing look at the heart of a woman. Author Kelly Minter explores what happens when good desires become false gods, robbing us of an intimate relationship with our heavenly father. So discover the freedom in surrender. The healing in worship. And the joy found in exchanging everyday gods for the one true God.
